Quick update for South Cambs Conservatives on our forthcoming events.
CPF debate – 28th November
The next Conservative Policy Forum debate centres on 'Disability and inclusion', covering housing, health, transport and other related issues. Like all our CPF debates, it's your opportunity to feed into Whitehall how government policy should be shaped. Wednesday, 28th November / 7:00 pm / Foxton Village Hall. Full details on our website.
Christmas Party – 28th December
Heidi and Phil Allen are inviting you to their big, fun filled Christmas party... at their home in Elsworth. It's a special fund-raiser exclusively for members of the Association and their spouses / partners, with super food and beverages to make it a really enjoyable evening. Friday, 28th December / 7.30 to 11.00 pm. Full details on our website.
CPF Dinner – 15th February
George Freeman MP will be the guest of honour at our annual CPF Dinner. George is the MP for Mid Norfolk and UK Chairman of the CPF, so you can expect lots of insights into the effectiveness of the CPF – the appropriate Secretary of State is sent a summary of responses to the papers we discuss. Friday, 15th February / 7.00 for 7.30 pm / Bourn Golf and Leisure Club. Current details on our website.
AGM – 8th March
The Association's AGM is a very important event, for it's your opportunity to hold the management team to account (although we hope we're doing a sufficiently good job for you to praise us!), applaud the hard work of volunteers who run our branches and hear Heidi Allen's summary of what will have been one of the most exciting years for any MP since the war. Friday, 8th March / 7:00 pm / Foxton Village Hall. Current details on our website.
An evening with Amber Rudd MP – 29th March
29th March is not just Brexit day, it's also when the Rt Hon Amber Rudd MP will be Heidi Allen's guest for the third in our 'Evening in conversation with...' series. Amber, appointed last week as the new Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, will be talking to Chris Mann of BBC Radio Cambridgeshire about being 'the fastest-rising politician to a Great Office of State since the Second World War.' Friday, 29th March / 7.00 for 7.30 pm. Full details on our website.
