South Cambridgeshire Conservative Association (SCCA)
We are a friendly group of local volunteers who believe in advancing the Conservative philosophies and principals for the overall benefit to society. We campaign on local matters and have an eye on the national picture. We organise get togethers, fundraising activities, select candidates and campaign for them to be elected.
The South Cambridgeshire Conservative Association (SCCA) is part of the Conservative Party. It is our responsibility to run an effective operation, locally.
If you would like to be involved or if you are interested in finding out how to become a candidate, please get in touch scca@scambsconservatives.co.uk
We join forces with the other Conservative Associations in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough when selecting candidates for whole county roles – eg Police and Crime Commissioner and Mayor.
We have a strong record of returning Conservative candidates to Parliament:
- 1983-1997 - Sir Anthony Grant
- 1997-2015 - Lord (Andrew) Lansley CBE DL
- 2015-2018 - Heidi Allen
- 2019- 2024 - Anthony Brown
We have 11 Councillors in South Cambridgeshire. If you are community minded and would like to be considered as a council candidate, please do let us know!
Together, we run the SCCA office. We have an annual general meeting (AGM) where officers are elected. The current team of Officers is
- President - Lord (Andrew) Lansley
- Chairman - John Biggs
- Deputy Chairman, Political - Harry Challands
- Deputy Chairman, Membership - Lorraine Mooney
- Treasurer - Joshua Vanneck
Constituency Organiser - Lorraine Mooney
