Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Celebration at Elmdonbury, Elmdon
On Sunday 13th May in the serene surroundings of Elmdonbury, by invitation of Mr Robert Smith and Family, SCCA President, Dr Ian Calder, the Chairman, Donald Douglas and their Fundraising Team, Dorothy (Chairman), Pamela, Jean, Ann, Deborah, Anne, Denise and Stephen were delighted to have welcomed 90 people to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
We were very pleased that Andrew, Sally, Martha and Charles Lansley were able to join us at this joyous occasion
It was held in a listed 17th century barn, decorated with banners and flags, and was very English – lots of flowers, chat, catching up and marvellous food.
The hard working SCCA Fundraising Team and Robert’s daughter Rebecca, who runs her own catering business, provided the food.
Sparkling wine was flowing as the canapés were handed round, smoked salmon, asparagus wrapped in bacon, pork pies with pickle, miniature fish & chips, prawns – the list goes on – meringues with cream topped with a raspberry... mmm so delicious!
Our congratulations to the Queen on reaching the milestone of her Jubilee.
- Organised by the SCCA Fundraising Team (below) of Dorothy Calder (Chairman), Pamela Douglas, Jean Bacon, Ann Potter, Deborah Topham, Anne Owen, Denise Smith and Stephen Frost.
