We were very sorry to learn of the death of Elaine Wheatley on 14 January. Our sincere condolences to Tim Wheatley and his family. Her funeral is on Thursday, February 2nd at Little St Mary’s Church (Trumpington Street, opposite Pembroke College) at 2.00 pm. The Annual Christmas Party was attended by over 70 people in the lovely surroundings of Andrew's home. The fundraising team had once again worked extremely hard and had put on a marvellous spread. A big thank you to all involved, not only the committee but also to all those who turned up to support us. Thanks especially to Iris Lay who arrived with a tray of mince pies! Christmas lunch – a great Bar Hill tradition. "Very successful, as usual, made a huge profit for the Association and was enjoyed by one and all," says Iris Lay, who is Chairman of the Bar Hill branch, did the shopping, prepared the foods – she made all those salads you can see in the picture three – and also took the photographs. "Some of them are not very good – my camera seemed to be misbehaving..."
