Between now and 7th May, we will be sharing with you 15 reasons to vote Conservative on the big day with a combination of local and national issues.
10. The stark choice at this election: competence or chaos
This means:
- You can choose to put David Cameron in Downing Street, leading a strong team that’s working through a long-term economic plan.
- Or you can choose Ed Miliband, propped up by the SNP – with no plan other than more spending, more borrowing and more taxes.
- You can choose a government that’s growing the economy to create jobs and willing to invest in public services – and wanting to cut income tax for 30 million people.
- Or you can choose the chaos of Britain under Labour – with a track record of higher unemployment, higher debts and higher taxes.
- Official figures from the Office for National Statistics show the economy grew by 0.3% in the first three months of this year and by 2.4% over the last year.*
- A growing economy means more businesses creating more jobs – and more people with the security of a wage to provide for themselves and their families.
- But we have reached a critical moment in the recovery – which is why it is better to vote Conservative and stay with an economic plan that is working.
