Yesterday's budget had lots of good things in it for everyone across the UK – and some special things for South Cambs' residents too, as Heidi Allen, our MP, summarised:

"Team work makes the dream work... so in today's Budget we got:

• Accelerated investment for the Oxford to Cambridge road and railway.
• A station at Addenbrooke's.
• License for South Cambs District Council to build more council houses.
• £1.5 bn pumped into Universal Credit.

"I'd say that's a good day at the office!"
