Our guest speaker at this year's CPF Dinner on 18 November is Natalie Elphicke (right), the Director of the Conservative Policy Forum. The dinner is being held at the Hardwicke Arms in Arrington, beginning at 7.30 pm.
Natalie has a voluntary party role, which she undertakes in addition to her day job – she is a finance partner in an international law firm based in the City of London specialising in social and affordable housing.
Natalie has been a grassroots Conservative Party volunteer for more than 20 years, holding a variety of association positions, including acting as Chairman (and Deputy Chairman) of the Cities of London and Westminster Conservative Association.
She is very committed to social policy – she organised a community advice centre in West Norwood, Lambeth for years – and helped to set up a charitable pregnancy advice centre in central London. She has been a Westminster Housing Commissioner, reviewing and reporting on housing issues and solutions.
Natalie has published policy papers with the Centre for Policy Studies on preventing mortgage repossessions and with Policy Exchange on new methods for raising private finance for housing associations, in not-for-profit and mutual social enterprise structures. She has also presented at the European Commission and has been a commentator on Sky, BBC 24 and Moneybox.
Natalie is married to Charlie – they have two children and a Norwich terrier called Star.
