7.30 pm, TONIGHT!
Following the withdrawal last week of John Pye as our Police and Crime Commissioner candidate for Cambridgeshire, we are obliged to re-run a selection procedure.
Given the time constraints before nominations close in mid-October, a hustings will be held this evening, 7 September:
- Venue Burgess Hall, Westwood Road, St Ives, Cambridgeshire, PE27 6WU.
- Date 7th September 2012.
- Time Starts at 7.30 pm sharp – no latecomers allowed in.
"We have to hear all presentations in order to make an informed choice," says Stephen Frost, the Agent for the Conservative PCC candidate.
Only paid up members
It should be noted that only paid up party members of at least three months' standing will be allowed into the hall and to vote – which will be immediately after hustings.
Candidates
The candidates are Sir Graham Bright, Shona Johnstone and Darren Tysoe – Sir Graham and Shona were John Pye's rivals at the first hustings in July; David was selected as a 'back up' candidate for the hustings should any of the others have dropped out.
