Gina Youens is the Conservative candidate for Harston and Hauxton in the SCDC election on 5th May.
Gina lives in Orchard Close, Harston and is pictured above with Farrow outside H&G hairdressers and beauty salon.
Gina grew up in Devon and moved to Cambridgeshire in the 1980s, working in education organising adult education classes.
She now runs her own contemporary jewellery business and supports local businesses and the preservation of green areas.
"What is most important is to do what is right for Hauxton and Harston," she says.

"I would like to see more going on in Hauxton and Harston, such as a daytime community café to help raise money for local charities," says Gina.
"I believe the village halls could also be used for monthly film viewings.
"A subject close to my heart is dementia – we need more training and befriending services available for residents who know someone who is affected.
"No one should feel isolated just because they live in a village."
Preserving our villages
"We live in a beautiful part of Cambridgeshire surrounded by green space and farming land," says Gina.
"I belive it is important these areas are preserved for future generations.
"Hauxton has seen a large housing development recently – I want to limit development when there isn’t the infrastructure to support it and prevent even more strain on our roads and schools.”

"I fully support local businesses and the services they provide," says Gina.
"It is important for people to be able to shop and dine locally, not just for convenience but to support local jobs and the community at large.
"The Conservatives have a record of keeping Council Tax and business rates as low as possible, we know it is your money – not the Council’s – and you want to know it is being spent wisely.
"I am collating a local directory listing all the businesses in our villages to make everyone aware of the services and expertise available on our doorstep.”
