The process to select our candidate for the South Cambridgeshire Parliamentary seat for the 2015 general election has started.
The advertisement announcing the vacancy was sent to all candidates on GCHQ's approved candidates list – candidates who were registered with CCHQ by the 8th September.
Those applications will be made aware to the Sifting Committee by the end of this week – it is they who will short list four applicants to be interviewed by a Special General Meeting of members on 11th October at the new Cambourne Village College.
The meeting, which will be for paid up SCCA members of three months standing, will have an early start – doors open for registration at 9.30 am.
All members entitled to vote will receive full instructions in the post shortly.
The general election is on 7 May 2015 – the same day as SCDC elections for 19 local seats.
