Figures from the MySociety website TheyWorkForYou.com have revealed which MPs are hardest and easiest to comprehend when they talk in the chamber of the House of Commons.
According to its analysis, Heidi Allen, our MP, is among the easiest MPs for people to understand.
Heidi, who was elected last year, emerged as one of the most accessible speakers out of all 645 current MPs – her speeches in the Commons can be understood by an average 15-16 year old.
Just as interesting, perhaps are the comments from two readers of the Cambridge News, which published the TheyWorkForYou.com information:

Heidi Allen (whose party politics I don't share) is the best MP we have had – although it's not much of a contest really when her two predecessors were Andrew Lansley and Anthony Grant. Her willingness to engage with her constituents and her interest in issues which her party would generally rather ignore are to be commended. Having heard her speak on several occasions I'm not convinced that she really is a Conservative at heart.

Heidi is an excellent MP and a credit to this county.
