The Pulse update bulletin is our regular e-mail to members of South Cambridgeshire Conservative Association.
If you'd like to be added to our mailing list to receive it and other news items from the Association, please e-mail Heather Williams and let her know.
We have lift off
We launched the South Cambs Business Club on 1st November with a special event – with the Rt Hon Anna Soubry MP as the very special and very informative guest.
If you’d like to join the Business Club, please contact Harriet Gould, Chairman, harriet@southcambsbiz.co.uk for information.
Can you help?
We’re always campaigning to help our candidates win the next election – with your help we can do so much more.
Whatever you can do, big or small – leafleting, stuffing envelopes, erecting posters – please ring Heather Williams on 07885 774 775 and she will find a job for you.
Could you become a councillor?
We want good people, like you, to join our team. Have you ever considered being a councillor?
As a District Councillor I [Ben] found being at the heart of the local community a thoroughly enjoyable and worthwhile experience – to which one adds the important part councillors play within the County Council and SCDC.
Call me or Heather today to chat about life as a councillor – and Heather, who was only elected in May, has really interesting insights as a newbie at SCDC. Our numbers are 07814 275 645 (Ben) and 07885 774 775 (Heather).
Look for Heidi’s notes on the Association website...
...in which you'll find her highlights, achievements and comments on current issues.
There are plenty of other local news stories too – do take a look.
Get to know Amber Rudd
Here's a really special date for your diary: 29th March 2019. The Rt Hon Amber Rudd MP, former Home Secretary, will be Heidi’s next guest at our ‘Evening in conversation with...' series.
Tickets sell out quickly for this series – look out for more information.
CPF – Conservative Policy Forum
Wednesday, 28th November / 7:00 pm / Foxton Village Hall – the next CPF debate for you to feed into how we shape government policy. The discussion this time is on 'Disability and inclusion' – click here for full details.
The digital age – 17th October 2018 / CPF report
Our discussion moved from robotics to rebalancing employment opportunities, to government reporting systems, to telecoms and government being realistic about industry’s ability to deliver, e.g. roll out of 2020 superfast broadband.
We moved on to technical innovation, seed funding, R&D investment, Bitcoin and crypto currencies, protection of intellectual property by start-ups, education, social media and its many impacts. In brief, a wide variety of subjects within the Digital Age.
The synopsis of this discussion is being collated. It will be forwarded as soon as received from CPF Central.
Christmas is coming
We’re posting draw tickets to Association members in the next few days. Act quickly for your chance to win.
